Prestolite is a rapidly expanding global company with manufacturing and distribution in Greenford near London UK, USA where our products are generally sold under the Leece-Neville name and where we are a dominant supplier to the US bus, truck, refrigeration and military markets, and in Beijing China where we are the number one supplier to the domestic bus & coach industry supplying to the OE market with over 700K units a year.
Prestolite has been manufacturing in Great Britain since 1988 when Butec Electrics’ Leyland site was purchased from British Leyland. Ten years later further expansion took place when the heavy duty electrical division of Lucas (CAV) was acquired along with five additional factories.
Prestolite is a significant provider of Original Equipment rotating electrics to the truck, bus & coach, construction, agriculture, military, marine, refrigeration and engine & genset industries. We supply more than 30 OEM’s in Europe and can offer in most cases brand new original equipment quality products.
Our products should not be confused with Far East copy starters and alternators sold into the aftermarket. Prestolite is an Original Equipment Manufacturer with strict quality adherence and units sold into the aftermarket are OEM quality.
